The Birth Of Venus: Potato Cupcake

After my Saturday class, I went straight to attend worship service. I was super early like woah. My fellow churchmates were surprised as I was. On the same day, it was one of my friends' 18th birthday and yaay it's chow twiiime! At 6pm, my day was just about to start. Our ever supportive parents let us go on a slumber party/cooking-baking-frame-making-let's-talk-about-life-workshop with our Lola Basyang (Tita Evelyn).

The night started with potato salad making. Mmm-mmm! It was very easy to make, but as always I suck at it. I was doing my very best to slice the potatoes off until Tita told me that my potatoes were pang-adobo level. Haha fail. Oh, and being my kababuyan self, I took a pineapple tidbit out of the mixing bowl, tried to eat it.. but it slipped out of my mouth and got straight back to the mixing bowl. Sooo, my DNA was all over the salad since I no longer found my nalawayang pinya. Sorry gaaiz. I'm so kadiri like that.

Oh, and and and!! We made cheese cupcakes! It was my first time to actually make something that has --cake in it other than pancake. Whut an accomplishment. And wow, it was sobrang masarap. The first batch was the nasunog ones. But heyyy, it was our first time! Don't judge us! After that sobrang nakakafulfill cupcake-making, our creativity as girls and boys were put to test. The youths were divided by gender. Wow diba. We were told to make a frame that could be an actual frame for our faces for photo op. As pa-tweetums girls we are, we made a flower gleam and glow with matching orange-white striped na may malabong concept na frame. While the guys drew caricature of characters that they prefer and made an oval hole to fit their faces. Sobrang pinag-isipan waw. Haha di ko gets kung sarcastic ba ko o ano.

After a string tests of creativity, we finally got to eat our potato salad and cupcakes for midnight snack as Tita Evelyn talked about.... LIFE.

The next morning, (wow feeling ko sobrang detailed ng blogpost na 'to haha anyway) we woke up to the sound of Tita singing "Waaake up, Little Suuusie! Wake up!" with matching kalansing ng bell. Haha cuute! And just like that, breakfast is ready. Sobrang feeling prinsesa to know that the guys prepared the breakfast. Yesss naman! As we ate breakfast, Tita was asking us to get from her bunutan, and to our surprise, the numbers from the bunutan we picked defined what random gift we're going to get. Awww. Some got a planner, tumbler, thingy that lights up, and other random stuff. While I got tenenen... girly lanyard. Heehee. After breakfast, we fought lethargy for 3 hours and went home.
