Rach Rover: Iloilo

Iloilove you!

Hopped on the first flight to Iloilo with my team, landed before dawn, mumukat mukat in my puyat state until I finally managed to gain back my consciousness and woke up to the top five reasons to love Iloilo:

1. Iloilo food feels like home.
Since it's our job to feature all the possible local food we can find, we have to eat them all to make a good content out of it. Kicked off the trip with organic coffee from Madge Cafe. I don't drink coffee so I took it from my team's judgement, it was incomparable they say and not to mention super cheap. Classic batchoy from La Paz market... Ted's, Deco's and Netong's? Ticked them all off! Tatoy's native chicken took me back to when my Lolo would slaughter native chicken everytime I go home to Mindoro. Breakthrough set the standards high for their linagpang manok and fresh seafoods. And how can I forget Tita Paz's pancit molo that's just ugghhhhh taste heavenly.

2. Iloilo is close to heaven.
Churches in Iloilo would just put you in awe.

3. Ilonggos' accent.
Ilonggos have the most malambing tone, whether they speak Hiligaynon or Tagalog. Their accent is a melody to my ears. Hihihi

4. Strict no smoking policy!
I admire how the governing bodies practice discipline among Ilonggos.

5. No traffic!
No hustle-no bustle.
