This trip took a turn. We walked few blocks away from Dubai Museum to Dubai Creek and sailed through some boat for AED 1 that is equivalent to Php12. It's a short ferry ride to get to Deira. As we sailed along the creek, we came across the famous Dhow Cruise ships, some yachts and other ships for trading. It only took 10 minutes to get to our destination. On the way to the Gold Souk, several Indian talked us into buying their stuff. They saw that we're Filipino, and surprisingly enough, they spoke Tagalog!
"Mare! Bili ka na."
"Mare! Maganda ah. Mataba."
"Kabayan! Bag. Mura lang."
"Bigay kita kabayan price, eh?"
"Mare! Bili ka.. ano tawag dito. Tawas!"
(me laughing) "Ahh. Ayaw ko ganyan ha. Loko loko."
Hahaha. My Auntie told me that some of them has Filipina girlfriend, so they can speak Tagalog. Some thought I was Chinese and greeted me "Ni hao!" We got to Gold Souk and it was my Mom's version of heaven. It was a tiangge of cheap legit gold.
