Rach Rover: Hong Kong Day 2 - Disneyland!!!

Three words to describe this blog post...

DREAM COME TRUE

I was genuinely excited for our Disneyland trip and boy, Mickey Mouse didn't disappoint! As a Disney fan since forever, soon as I stepped out of the train, my heart almost got out of my chest. You have no idea.

All the rides never fail to amaze me. All the characters took me back to when I was a little girl who would sing every theme song of every Disney movie.

The parade.. the fireworks display... so magical.

It was indeed the happiest place on earth.
You know how I love taking photos of me at the bench heehee

Rach Rover: Hong Kong Day 1

Four months ago, my cousin asked me if I wanted to go with her and my other cousin to Hong Kong.. and heck I said yes. For the last three months, I tried to save up money for it and boom it became Koko Krunch! This trip my first international trip that I paid from my own pocket, no cent came from my Daddy's wallet. Up top, Rach! Kaya naman I was very excited for this trip kasi I'll get to spend my own moolah without having to ask from my parents.
I took three days off from work, endorsed my accounts temporarily to my trusted colleagues, sent e-mails and "I'll be gone for three days, please keep out of my sight muna" notice and voila... off to HK!

None of us have been to HK before, we were all first-timers. The only tourist guide we got is the Internet, so when we got off from the plane, the first thing we looked for is a local sim that has data. We had no idea how to get to our hotel, all we know is that it's located at Tin Shui Wai. We asked around, bought an Octopus card, and it took almost two-hour bus ride. Got off the bus... then what? Waze to the rescue! "Eh malapit lang pala, lakarin na natin!" Not the best idea. We could've ridden the train. We walked three train stations before we got to our hotel. Haaaa saya!

We had our first decent meal before we check in to the hotel at some mall nearby. Most of the servers don't know how to speak English. I was asking for a cold milk tea and the lady said, "kurr?" *shivers* Heehee cute!

Checked in at exactly 12:00nn and surprisingly we booked a nice hotel. Super sulit! Nice facilities, accommodating staff and has a breath-taking view at night. Since may buntis kaming kasama, she had to rest, while Kuya Rex, Aki and I went to the park.

At 3:00pm, we decided to go to The Peak.

By then we realized that our hotel is very far from almost all the tourist spots. Kumbaga pag nasa Pilipinas ka, yung travel parang Manila to Tarlac (syempre minus the traffic). We had to figure out how to transfer from one station to another. I've never walked that long in my entire life. Pramis!

The queue for the Peak Tram was like the queue for relief goods in Tacloban. Ang haba.. ang OA! Kaya naman we were so intrigued at nakipila na rin kami to see The Peak. Eh kaya naman pala. Worth it.

Took the bus going to Tin Shui Wai

The adventure begins!
