Lonesome V-day? Naaah!

      For starters, I'm single, unattached, unavailable and uninterested but happy! And so it's February, the so-called "love month" and there goes the so-called Valentine's day! But as for me, it's a SINGLE AWARENESS DAY!!! Well, my V-day went a little like this..

      

      Started off my V-day attending KARAKOL, but since our block have no complete preparation, we didn't join the parade at all. Along with my blockmates, we ate at Tempura Sam to indulge ourselves with Japanese food. Until I realized that it would be way lonely if I won't get anything from anyone. So I had a deal with my friend, Jojo, to buy me a long stem orange rose and in return, I'll give her a long stem yellow rose. There! Lonely no more! It was beyond my expectation that I would really get something from someone that day, I got a plant from a guy friend, a letter from a friend, a white rose and a pot of plant from dunno-who, and a text convo with the most hot professor I had, Mr. Atom Araullo. Got to sang my heart out along with my girlfriends at the Coca Cola's music booth and ended the day with a Valentine's dinner date with my dormates.

February Fever

Kaleidoscopic Wonder

The baby Lady is now a lady Lady

     Parang kailan lang no? Hindi na talaga natin namamalayan ang pagtakbo ng panahon. Parang kailan lang, tayo yung mga bata na naglalaro o kumakain ng cookies na binibigay ng mga Mommy natin habang nakaupo sa nilatag na pink na sheet. Yung mga panahon pa na malolobong bistida at may lace na medyas yung suot natin tuwing worship service. Natatandaan mo pa nung una tayong tumira sa Guesthouse 3 sa Teacher's Camp? Sa sobrang paglundag natin, nabasag yung light bulb sa kwarto sa baba. Yung pagsasagot natin ng activities tuwing Sunday school, yung monthly performance natin sa service (i.e, Let The Rain, Shine Jesus Shine, The Sawyer), yung pagsasalok natin ng juice from one baso to another at walang keber kung malinis man ang kamay natin o hindi, yung pakikinig mo sa mga kwento ng puppy love ko sa DVBS.. natatandaan mo pa? Nung medyo lumaki na tayo, ibang usapan naman. Crush and infatuation eklavu ang usapan tuwing nasa harapan ng lababo at naghuhugas ng masesebong pinggan dulot ng spaghetti ni Mamang. Unang major puyat ko na ikaw ang kasama dahil sa isang revelation na na-unfold. At ang traditional na photo op with horses from Wright Park. Ang dami dami dami dami nating alaala na magkasama. Bestfriends since birth kumbaga. I've known you since you had that puffy headband hairdo and you've known me since I had that gitna-hating hairdo. Nasaksihan natin ang pagtubo ng pimples ng bawat isa. Parating nagkakamalang magpinsan o magkapatid. Paano ba naman, palagi ikaw ang kasama! Naalala mo pa ang mga katagang "Hindi ako sasama, pag di ka sasama!" Sikat yan nung pilitan blues bago mag-SEP'06. Nagdaan ang SEP'06 hanggang SEP'11, hindi pa rin tayo nagiging magkadorm. What are the odds? Sabay din tayong nag-exam sa dalawang universities, UP and DLSU-D. Akala ko magiging schoolmate na kita, tss hindi pala.

    Now that you're celebrating your age of legality, I just want you to know that even if we would no longer ride horses in Wright Park for we might outgrow our tradition, I will always always be here for you being the best dishwashing buddy you could ever have.

Voice From The Past

     Well, not actually 'from the past', just the things that I went through this year since it's approximately less than 17 hours before New Year's Eve and all of my 2011 experience and immaturity will be cherished and/or burned in the past.
     As I welcome 2011 with a wishlist in my hand, I started to fill myself with hope. I listed everything that I aim to be and everything that'll make my life as colorful as the fireworks. Simple and transparent wishes yet can change a whole lot different Rachel. Material things were of course inevitable on that list, and little by little Mommy and Daddy fulfilled my material wishes. Year 2011 was neutral for me, downer in some ways but somehow ease it with a bunch of happiness and bliss brought by the people who I love and love me.

* Feast of Tabernacles in Baguio
* Got to be a teacher of cute toddlers for 5 days [Vacation Bible School: The Lost World]
* Summer Enrichment Program 
* Celebration of legality of my favorite girls (Aira, Angeline, Jesti)
* Best birthday so far
